When I received the close up photo of the Bird of Paradise, I immediately imagined how fun and beautiful it would look painted in pastels. I layered my colors to get the richness of this colorful flower. I used pan pastels with the sofft applicators. My artwork is done on Uart black 800 grit paperwhich took the layers of color nicely.
