Watercolor under painting with Sennelier pastels on Uart board. This was created using a reference photo that I took while on a trip to the Grand Canyon. Clinging to the edge of the canyon bank I was inspired by the tenacity of this tree that had endured the ravages of wind and rain, cold and heat over time.
