This soft pastel painting was inspired when I went on a my first swamp tour into a swamp in Louisiana. I was totally impressed with this Cypress tree. It reminded me of a woman welcoming me with open arms. She had an abundance of moss hanging from her arms giving her an other worldly suspenseful feeling.
