While on a Spring road trip trip to Florence Az, I was inspired by the blooming brittle bush and other desert vegetation. The piece was was done from photos taken along the way. I used uart 400 sanded, starting with Nu pastels and an Alcohol wash, building layers with hardest to softest pastels.
