The inspiration for this painting was a photo taken during while hiking in the east side of the Sierra, near Rock Creek. I've always wanted to paint from that image, and during our "stay at home" period, it seemed the perfect option. The painting is a combination of pastel pencil, hard, medium and soft pastels.
