Waiting

On a storm-watching trip along the Washington coast, I came upon this abandoned volleyball net. It spoke to me of memories of summers past, and stood so strongly in the blowing wind. This image seems even more relevant now as we emerge from a long winter but are still cautious to re-engage in all those activities that we once took for granted.
