Living in Pennsylvania near the Yellow Breeches creek, I have taken many pictures for inspiration from which I am working on a series of pastel paintings. I have come to prefer Art Spectrum Colourfix smooth paper for applying soft pastels, of which I use many different brands. From my first couple of pastel paintings, I knew I had found the perfect medium for me. I have taken several workshops and continue to learn as often as I can. Landscape pastel painting will be one of my primary efforts in retirement (in about 6 years).
