Feel the Sky

This piece was created on Uart 400 mounted board using primarily Terry Ludwig, Blue Earth, Sennelier and Girault pastels. The entire paper was toned with a vibrant pink new pastel set with 91% alcohol. The entire painting was worked as a whole using many layers of pastel with a very light touch. My inspiration for this scene is conservation land where I walk my dog. This was early evening in September and the sky was absolutely stunning. I also loved the view point. This spot never disappoints in any season.
