My father was a clown with Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show many years ago. This is a tribute to him and the Circus life. Because the size I wanted to create I worked on canvas. I treated the canvas with zinc white acrylic over laid with white glue.
Using a mix of white, paynes gray, and light blue as the first under coat changing to light green at the bottom. Then I laid in the layers of colors alternating with Tacky Spray. Lines and details were done with pastel pencils. The clown's tears are are drops of airplane glue.
