I painted this piece as I was recovering from my parents' death. As I was walking among the beautiful gardens at Green Lake, Wisc., I came across this butterfly peacefully resting on the coneflowers. "All will be well" it seemed to say. Gratefully to took the photo and engaged painting it as a tribute and a path for "Recovery."
