The Littlest Gombey

The inspirations for this painting are the Gombeys from Bermuda. While on a visit to friends there, we were treated to several street dances by the local Gombey troupes. Also a special program by one particular group. This series of paintings I have been working on from my photographs from those events.
The media is hard and soft pastels on Multimedia Artboard. I really love this surface to work on as you can do your underpainting with pastel and wash with alcohol or water or whatever you chose to use. I used a blend of soft Unison, Schmincke, and Blue Earth pastels for my finish work.
This little Gombey is only 3 years old!
