Sachem Pond, Block Island

I participated in a week long soft pastel workshop on Block Island, a laid back and beautiful island off the Rhode Island coast. The island is quite varied in its geography, with ocean, rock-walled farms and pond views. This was done on a cloudy and very windy day, so I had to be sure to be in a somewhat sheltered area. Otherwise the easel and supplies would be blown away! I found the rocks to be the most challenging part of the work for me, but was pleased with the outcome.
