Tranquil Passage

Tranquil Passage, Established Pastel Artist
Tranquil Passage
Inspired by a trip to the Great Bear Rain forest in British Columbia. We stayed on a floating lodge in an estuary. Our Daily outings were to a blind to watch the Grizzlies feed on salmon. We also went on two mystery boat rides through passages surrounded by fiords. The scenes were peaceful magical and breathtaking. Quiet breezes, seals bobbing up now and then with a salmon in their mouth. I created this scene with that feeling in mind. A trip of a lifetime. I Used hard pastels for the under painting wash. Then used soft pastels on UArt 400. Used. Some pastel pencils for the tiny details of the figures.
