Spring Grazing

Another view of Eastern Shore MD life not usually seen by visitors who are mostly drawn to our waterways. The early Spring day because of the wind was full of the pollen that is typical of this area at this time of the year, slightly obscuring the background trees in a haze. The contrast between the clarity of the cattle in the fore-and middle grounds and the haze in the background inspired this painting. Completed on Colourfix Plein Air Painting board with an alcohol/hard pastel underpainting.
